RSSSave-A-Life VI Postponed
December 6th, 2010
Antioch, TN—The Hanna Project [THP] team scheduled to go to Côte d’Ivoire December 14-28, 2010, has been rescheduled. The project objectives for Save-A-Life VI were to renovate a school; sponsor 50 cataract surgeries by an Ivorian medical team; teach on AIDS prevention; and perform basic health care in villages surrounding Agnibilekrou, our host town. However, in light of the risk of violence and general unrest due to recent political maneuverings, THP administration decided it best to reschedule the project for November 2011.
The country is hanging in the balance between war and peace. The Save-A-Life VI project is also hanging in that balance and we are certainly hoping that it tilts towards peace.
