RSSTHP Responds to Japan Earthquake and Tsunami
March 14th, 2011

Antioch, TN—The Hanna Project, in consultation with Dale Bishop (our representative in Japan), will partner with a relief organization already on the ground to meet the critical needs of those impacted by Friday’s earthquake and tsunami.
The March 11, 2011, earthquake, upgraded to a 9.0 on the Richter scale, was quickly followed by a tsunami that devastated the northeast coast of Honshu, the island that is home to Tokyo. Whole villages disappeared with the thousands of people in them now missing. The death toll continues to rise. Entire communities have been displaced. Aftershocks continue to rock the region. Nuclear reactors in the damaged area are threatened with meltdowns.
Food, water, shelter, and clothing are immediate needs as people seek to pull their lives back together. Donations earmarked “Japan Relief” will allow us to provide help, hope, and healing to many hurting Japanese people.
